
Pascaline Mferri Bongo Ondimba, born April 10, 1956, in Franceville, Gabon, is a Gabonese politician.
President Omar Bongo Ondimba eldest daughter and Louise Mouyabi Moukala, she completed part of her studies in France at the National School of Administration.
She is the first Gabonese woman to graduate from the National School of Administration in France.
Pascaline Mferri Bongo Ondimba is the older sister of Ali Bongo Ondimba, former President of Gabon from 2009 to 2023.
In 1987, she joined the Gabonese civil service. A financial inspector by profession, she completed internships at Chase Manhattan Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
She later became Vice President of Elf Gabon.
Pascaline Mferri Bongo Ondimba served as Gabon’s Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1991 to 1994. She also served as Chief of Staff.
She is married to Paul Toungui, the former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
In May 2013, she was named one of the « 25 most influential women in business in Africa » by Jeune Afrique magazine.
In February 2015, she was indicted by the French courts.
Pascaline Mferri Bongo Ondimba became High Representative of the Head of State in January 2019.
The history of the Gabonese art world records that she was very close to reggae music legend Bob Marley at one point in his life.
She is the mother of two children.
